    **Update 2-2-2000
A New and Better Laceration Production Extreme Underground CD Compilation Offer.

Due to folding of the plan to work with Imminent Return Magazine on the first compilation, our first attempt at doing a comp has been halted.

Because Laceration Productions is a new 'label' with absolutely no funds, and is trying to raise money to be able to officially sign bands, the question has risen as to how to go about raising money and putting out a professional compilation CD at the same time. After much thought a plan has come to mind, which can both benefit bands not only by getting their music heard, but also by making them extra money.

What I am proposing is to fill the first CD compilation with 15 bands. In order to get a massive pressing of the CD in a professional duplication house (to provide a very professional CD release), I am asking that each band pay only $100. This would raise the money to pay for the first pressing. The good part about this deal is this…. Each band will receive 45 copies of the CD! (The CD will be a professional release with artwork, jewel case, and shrink-wrapped). With 45 CDs bands could sell them at gigs/shows and in time could make more than triple their initial investment.

At the same time Laceration Benefits because the extra CDs will be sold through Laceration Productions to raise money to officially sign bands (meaning we will pay for recording time & CD duplications).

All in all this is a no loose situation!! For both Laceration Production and the Bands on the comp.

If your band is interested in doing this please contact us ASAP and let us know.. As soon as we get response from a lot of bands, we will make this a go, and start getting together more details!

    **Update 1-12-2000

It has been over one month since I have successfully made contact with Micheal from Imminent Return Magazine.  The last time I had heard from him was on December 2nd the due date, and he verified that all music had been received by the above bands (minus the ones that had been sent directly to me).  I was informed by him that he was going to send the music to Laceration to be put on the master CD ASAP.

As I waited for the music to arrive it was brought to my attention by a couple bands that had submitted music, that Micheal was not responding to there emails, I then once again attempted to make contact myself.  But with no luck.

At this time it is hard to say what happend to Micheal, but due to the fact that it has been over one month since anyone has heard from him, its seems to point in the direction that Laceration is never going to receive the music....

Please note that Laceration Productions does not reflect the actions of Imminent Return.  The deal to do this compilation was made between our two organizations to lower the cost of production, so that the money load would not be on the shoulders of one man, and so that the CD could have better distribution.

My deepest apologize go out to all the bands that submitted there music to Imminent Return.  No one can understand how sad this makes me feel for the bands that took out time and money to send in there music.  However there is nothing that I can do to make this situation better, except wait to hear some type of word from Imminent Return Magazine.  From now on.... I will be seeking a new partner to help me do this compilation CD, so that I can help as many bands as I can!  Let this be a lesson learned on my part, from now on with all further compilation CD's with Lacerations name associated with it, all music will be submitted directly to LACERATION, and no middle man will be involved.

If you are interested in helping me release this CD compilation, please send me an email, so we can help these bands get heard!
